Today’s Racing
There are meetings today at Thirsk (2.00), Ascot (2.05) and Wolverhampton (2.20). Tonight they go at Newmarket (5.45) and Chepstow (6.20).
At Thirsk the going is good to firm and in the 4.45 favourite backers should be on to a sure thing with Aahgowangowan who is expected to run up her hat trick.
At Ascot the going is good to firm. There looks to be a real contest between newcomer Silca Chiave and the more experienced Tee Off and it’s hard to choose who to side with, but Tee Off just gets the vote, though it wouldn’t surprise me if the newcomer won as trainer Mick channon has a decent first time out record.
At Wolverhamton where the going is standard another Channon horse Stir Crazy could defie the handicapper and make it two on the trot in the 4.00. Each way given it should be a decent price.
At Newmarket the ground is good to soft. Dark Charm in the 5.45 looks good value and there’s an interesting look to first timer Brainy Benny in the 7.10 with Dettori on board. In a seven runner race that could be a canny booking.
Lastly at Chepstow the going is good to firm. In the 8.50 Harrisons Flyer could get back to winning ways.
